But how do you get to know them?  \n\n\n\nThis process is called Screening your tenants. Screening your tenants & and making sure you put the right tenants in your properties is key to minimizing your turnover/vacancies (your biggest expense as a landlord)  But\, what is the BEST way to do this…. \n\n\n\nDo you personally do the screening? Or Do you hire a 3rd party?What questions do you ask?What should my requirements be?How do I disqualify a tenant without breaking the law?What are the best practices when it comes to screening tenants\n\n\n\nBenita will share her experiences in managing properties (since 2005). She has learned some tough lessons the hard way\, that you don’t have to.  \n\n\n\nA lot of private landlords think they have it figured out\, or “this can’t be too hard”…..until they find themselves in a situation that teaches them a hard lesson.  \n\n\n\nWhether you are a new landlord\, or seasoned\, come hear Benita’s lessons so you can be up to date on current requirements. They had a house and the only option was to rent it. Scary\, but worked out. And their goal became to build a rental portfolio to retire on it. \nEver since that time\, Ro has participated in different acquisition approaches\, mentoring programs\, joint ventures and networking activities that have brought a wealth of knowledge and experience in the business. She is an entrepreneur and an accountant by trade. This background has allowed her to venture into wholesaling\, rehabbing\, investing in multi-family projects while building a rental portfolio and hold full time professional activities unrelated to real estate. She has also successfully coached other individuals on the ins and outs of the industry. \n \n
